Police investigate trespassing incident
REEDSVILLE — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a reported trespassing incident that occurred June 23 along U.S. 522 North in Decatur Township. Police said they responded after receiving a report of an individual trespassing. The investigation remains ongoing.
Injuries sustained in Armagh crash
REEDSVILLE — A 10-year-old passenger suffered suspected minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash June 30 on U.S. 322 East about five miles west of the Milroy exit in Armagh Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Police said a Nissan Sentra driven by a 44-year-old Erie woman slowed in the left lane while attempting to pass another vehicle and was struck from behind by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by a 59-year-old Holland man. The vehicles collided a second time before coming to rest. The child was taken to Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. Police cited the Sentra’s driver for driving too slowly for conditions.
No injuries sustained in deer strike
PORT ROYAL — A Mifflin man was uninjured after striking a deer June 22 on Route 35 South in Beale Township, Juniata County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Police said the 65-year-old driver was traveling south near 15280 Route 35 when a deer entered the roadway from the left. The driver struck the animal before pulling off the roadway farther south. His Toyota Camry sustained disabling damage.
