LEWISTOWN -- A Mifflin County jury convicted a Derry Township woman Friday of delivering methamphetamine following a one-day trial in the Mifflin County Court of Common Pleas.
Nicole Bohn was found guilty of delivery of methamphetamine, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to testimony presented at trial, Bohn sold methamphetamine to a confidential informant for $100 on June 28, 2024.
Prosecutors said the drug sale was arranged through Facebook Messenger. During the trial, jurors viewed messages in which Bohn allegedly described the methamphetamine as "fire."
Pennsylvania State Police Trooper Stanley Sims testified about the investigation, while Detective Bruce Mann of the Lewistown Police Department and the Mifflin County District Attorney's Office testified that he conducted surveillance during the controlled purchase.
The Commonwealth was represented by First Assistant District Attorney Mark Remy. Mifflin County President Judge Aaron Gingrich presided over the trial.
The jury deliberated for about one hour before returning guilty verdicts on all counts.
Sentencing is scheduled for September before Gingrich.
