Celebrate America’s 250th birthday in Beavertown
BEAVERTOWN — The Beavertown Revitalization Committee invites the public to celebrate the 250th Birthday of the United States of America at the Beavertown Borough building and playground on Saturday, July 11.
The festivities begin with a patriotic parade on West Walnut Street at 4 p.m. starting at Conestoga Wood Specialties. Children of all ages are invited to participate by riding decorated pedal bikes, wagons, motorized ride-on vehicles, kids’ carts and golf carts. Participants are encouraged to show their community spirit by decorating their entries and wearing red, white and blue.
Children’s games will begin at 4:30 p.m. Food will be available for purchase beginning at 5 p.m.
The celebration will conclude with a fireworks display at dusk, weather permitting.
