First Bakers UMC to host Bible study

McCLURE — First Bakers United Methodist Church will host a Bible study every Wednesday at 7 p.m. The church will also host a youth group for individuals under age 18 on the first Thursday of each month, except July.

Resurrection OPC extending its ministry

LEWISTOWN- Resurrection Orthodox Presbyterian Church, located in State College, is looking to extend its ministry of Biblical preaching, God-centered worship, and serious Christianity for real life into Lewistown and the surrounding Mifflin and Juniata Counties region.

Grace United Methodist Church ministry and program

“Rejoicing Spirits” is an innovative and inclusive ministry, offering a lively and meaningful Christian worship service and fellowship time. The service is modified to more readily engage people with disabilities, but remains inspiring and meaningful to everyone who attends, including family, friends and the local supportive community.

• Rejoicing Spirits will be held Sep. 9, Oct. 14, Nov. 18 and Dec. 9. All dates at 10 a.m.

“Create” is a monthly gathering of God’s creative creation. Bring your own supplies or use provided supplies. Experience is not necessary, just a passion for expressing faith through art.

First Sunday at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church

LEWISTOWN — Tenor Nic Stark with the accompaniment of Carolyn Barr will perform at First Sunday, June 7, at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 21 S. Main St., Lewistown. The program begins at 2 p.m. A goodwill offering will be taken with refreshments after the concert.

Stark is an experienced performer and voice teacher currently living in central Pennsylvania. As a performer, he is particularly drawn to the operatic stage, though he also enjoys singing musical theatre, pop, rock and folk music.

The selections include Strauss’s first publication, 8 Gedichte aus Letzte Blatter, (a rendition of German poems by Letzte Blatter). In that genre, he will perform music by Puccini, Brahms and other classical composers. Stark transitions from classical to musical theater as demonstrated by his rendition of Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing, also Corner of the Sky (from Pippin).

Brothers in Grace Gospel quartet at Delaware Mennonite Church

EAST SALEM — The Brothers in Grace Gospel quartet from Hershey, Pa. will present a concert at Delaware Mennonite Church, 16 Delaware Church Rd., East Salem, June 14 at 7 p.m. A free will offering will be received for the quartet. Everyone is welcome.

Free community Day Camp at Camp Mount Luther

LEWISBURG — Camp Mount Luther will host a free community Day Camp in Lewisburg this June, offering children ages 4 to 12 a week of outdoor fun, friendship, and faith-centered activities.

The Day Camp will run June 15-19, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 2349 Old Turnpike Rd., Lewisburg. Registration is available online at www.campmountluther.org/summer. The program is free to attend, with a freewill offering collected to help offset expenses.

The program is led by trained Camp Mount Luther counselors in partnership with local church volunteers and clergy. This year’s theme, “Wear Love,” invites campers to explore what it means to live out Christ-like love in everyday life.

MIFFLINBURG — Everyone is invited to Camp Mount Luther on Sunday, June 14 for a worship service that will officially kick off the summer camp season. The service will celebrate the outdoor ministry of the Upper Susquehanna Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The Rev. James A. Vitale Jr., the camp’s associate director, will preach and preside over worship. Worship will begin at 6:45 p.m.

VBS at First Baptist Church of Mifflintown

MIFFLINTOWN — Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church, Rte. 35, one mile north of Mifflintown, will be Sunday, June 21 – Thursday, June 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. each evening.
