Vehicle door opened into traffic causes minor crash

LEWISTOWN — An unidentified operator of a parked vehicle opened their door into traffic on East Third Street in Lewistown at 3:17 p.m. on June 18, where it was struck by a passing vehicle during a non-reportable accident, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. Officers investigated the incident and filed traffic citations.

Roommate dispute leads to arrest on warrant

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers responded to Shaw Avenue in Lewistown at 1:47 a.m. on June 19 for a dispute between roommates, according to a release issued on Thursday. During the incident, Chyanne Nicole Gerringer, 30, of Lewistown, was found to have an active warrant from the Huntingdon County Court of Common Pleas for driving under the influence. Gerringer was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown.

Woman charged after domestic assault

LEWISTOWN — Alexzandera I. Stein, 23, of Lewistown, was lodged in

the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown and charged with simple assault after Lewistown Police Department officers investigated a domestic assault on Shaw Avenue in Lewistown at noon on June 19, according to a release issued on Thursday. The investigation revealed that assaulted a household member, causing facial and shoulder injuries.

PFA violation leads to arrest warrant

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers investigated a Protection From Abuse violation at 6:48 a.m. on June 20, according to a release issued on Thursday. The investigation revealed that Tia Marie Garber, 23, of unknown address, contacted a protected party. A warrant was obtained and later served in Cumberland County.

Lewistown driver pulls into traffic, causing crash

LEWISTOWN — No injuries were reported but a citation was filed by Lewistown Police Department officers after an unidentified 53-year-old Lewistown man pulled out from Warren Alley in Lewistown without clearance, causing the crash, according to a release issued on Thursday. Officers responded to South Walnut Street and Warren Alley at 6:11 p.m. on June 20 for the reportable traffic crash and investigated the incident.

Lewistown man cited after attempting to fight ex-girlfriend’s partner LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers were dispatched to Chestnut Street in Lewistown at 8:47 p.m. on June 20 for a disorderly male, according to a release issued on Thursday. Timothy W. Beck, 54, of Lewistown, was cited for disorderly conduct after attempting to fight his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend.

Driver cited after pulling into path of another vehicle

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers responded to Route 22 and Washington Avenue in Lewistown at 3:14 p.m. on June 21 for a reportable crash, according to a release issued on Thursday. The investigation revealed that an unidentified driver of a Mercury Milan pulled into the path of a GMC Sierra. The Mercury driver was cited for duties at a stop sign. No injuries were reported.

Roommates cited after physical confrontation

LEWISTOWN — An unidentified 24-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both of unknown addresses, were cited for harassment after each claimed the other started a domestic dispute between roommates, according to a release issued by Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. Officers responded to Chestnut Street in Lewistown at 9:42 p.m. on June 21 and investigated the matter.

Man arrested on domestic relations warrant

LEWISTOWN — A Lewistown Police Department officer on patrol observed Jonas Fortson, 29, of unknown address, standing on Ridge Road in Lewistown at 9:57 a.m. on June 22, according to a release issued on Thursday. The officer was aware Fortson had a domestic relations warrant. He was taken into custody and lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown.

Hit-and-run damages vehicle mirror

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers responded to South Brown Street in Lewistown at 1:30 p.m. on June 22 for a hit and run, according to a release issued on Thursday. The victim reported their vehicle was struck between 7 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., damaging the mirror. No cameras or suspect vehicles were located by police.

Driver identified after fleeing crash scene

LEWISTOWN — A 36-year-old Lewistown man faces a variety of charges after Lewistown Police Department officers investigated an accident on South Wayne Street at 8:08 p.m. on June 22 for a vehicle that struck a brick wall, according to a release issued on Thursday. Witnesses reported two males fleeing the scene. The operator was identified as Damian M. Kuykendall, who will be charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and accidents involving damage to unattended property.

Woman arrested on prothonotary warrant

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers investigating a 911 open line near 39 Valley St. in Lewistown at 1:33 p.m. on June 23 encountered Autumn M. Young, 40, of Lewistown, according to a release issued on Thursday. Young had an arrest warrant from the Mifflin County Prothonotary Office and was taken into custody.

Man cited after punching another male

LEWISTOWN — David A. Shaffer, 24, of unknown address, was cited for disorderly conduct after punching another male in the head, according to a release issued by Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. Officers responded to Chestnut Street in Lewistown at 4:53 p.m. on June 23 for a physical fight.

Intoxicated man found unresponsive at gas station

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers responded to a gas station on South Main Street in Lewistown at 3:33 a.m. on June 24 for a report of an unresponsive male, according to a release issued on Thursday. Officers located Alijah J. Pawally, 21, of unknown address, passed out in front of the store. Pawally was cited for public drunkenness.
