One charged after two-vehicle crash in McVeytown

McVEYTOWN — One man was charged as a result of a two-vehicle accident in Bratton Township on Saturday, June 13 just before 9:30 a.m. The State Police report states that David Lucci, 65, of Lewistown, was operating a 2018 Toyota Tacoma on River Road near the intersection with East John Street in McVeytown. Lucci did not stop his vehicle at the stop sign and proceeded to strike a 2019 Chevrolet Colorado driven by Terry Sunderland, 59, of McVeytown. Sunderland’s vehicle traveled onto the shoulder of the left lane and struck the concrete bridge railing. Lucci and Sunderland were not injured in the collision. A passenger in the Colorado, Emma Sunderland, 71, was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown hospital with suspected minor injuries.

Driver escapes injury in Juniata County crash

MIFFLINTOWN — State Police Lewistown responded to the scene of a one-vehicle accident on Monday, June 22 around 4:50 p.m. A Subaru Impreza driven by an unnamed female was traveling on Route 22 West near the Mifflintown on ramp. The vehicle drifted off the roadway, spun 180 degrees and struck a guide rail. The driver was not injured. She was cited.

California man charged by State Police

MIFFLINTOWN — State Police Lewistown observed Robert Hawks, 44, of Santa Barbara, California, walking on Route 322 in Fermanagh Township around 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 23. Troopers made contact with Hawks, who was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana. He was taken into custody and lodged at the Mifflin County Correctional Facility.

Three injured in Thompsontown crash

THOMPSONTOWN — Three people were injured in a vehicle crash Friday, June 19 around 3 a.m. on Route 333 in Delaware Township, Juniata County. According to State Police, Jacob Hall, 18, of Camp Hill, was the operator of a 1986 Chevrolet El Camino that was traveling at approximately 85 miles per hour. Hall lost control of the vehicle before it left the roadway, struck an embankment and caught fire. Hall and two passengers, Nathaniel Ransom,18, of Camp Hill and Trey Troutman,18, of Millerstown sustained minor injuries. Ransom and Troutman were transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
