No injuries in Milroy crash

MILROY — A New York man was charged after a vehicle accident on Wednesday, June 3 around noon on Route 322, four miles west of the Milroy exit. According to the State Police report, Chaohua Xu, 35, of Flushing, N.Y. was operating a 2026 Hino L7D traveling westbound on the highway when he attempted to negotiate a left hand curve. Xu’s vehicle left the roadway on the right side, impacting a guide rail and rolling over onto the driver’s side. Following the rollover, the vehicle came to final rest sustaining disabling damage.The vehicle was towed from the scene. Xu was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured. Charges will be filed through the magisterial district judge.

No reported injuries in two-vehicle crash

THOMPSONTOWN — State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Friday, June 5 in Thompsontown. According to the report, around 2:30 p.m., a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling west on William Penn Highway when it struck a 2017 Ram truck in the rear as the vehicle was backing into a driveway. There was no report of injuries. Both parties were charged in this incident. The unnamed operator of the Jeep was charged with driving at an unsafe speed while the unnamed operator of the truck was charged with an improper right turn.

Mount Union woman charged with DUI

McVEYTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a welfare check that led to one woman being charged with driving under the influence. According to the report, on Tuesday, June 9 around 12:19 p.m., officers observed Miranda Crouse, 30, of Mount Union operating a 2006 Chevrolet. Crouse was charged with DUI.

Maryland man charged with theft

LEWISTOWN — A Baltimore, Maryland man has been charged with two counts of theft after a State Police investigation. Christopher Johnson, 35, has been charged after a June 13 incident in Granville Township. Police determined Johnson was involved during an investigation of a similar incident. Charges are pending through the magisterial district judge.

Man arrested for alleged theft

PORT ROYAL — A Juniata County man has been arrested following a June 15 incident in Port Royal. According to a State Police report, Steven Cisney, 55, of Port Royal, entered a home on Johnstown Road and stole copper wire. Burglary charges are pending.

McClure man arrested for alleged assault

LEWISTOWN — Charges were issued to a McClure man following an incident June 13 in Decatur Township. State Police responded to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for a report of a possible assault. A female victim sustained several broken bones and a laceration on her forehead. Police arrested Cody Hummel, 38, after a warrant was obtained. Hummel was taken into custody without incident.
