Felony child-sex-abuse suspect taken into custody
LEWISTOWN — A 45-year-old Lewistown man wanted by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General for sexual abuse of children involving child sexual abuse material and criminal use of a communication device was arrested by Lewistown Police Department officers, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. David C. Domain was arrested on his felony warrant at 2:38 p.m. on June 4 on West Market Street, Lewistown.
Man wanted for aggravated assault flees, later apprehended LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers arrested Keith A. Baumgardner, 41, of Lewistown, after he fled from officers in a vehicle and struck an occupied residence at 7:20 p.m. on June 4, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. Baumgardner later told officers he swallowed methamphetamine.
Drug-impairment investigation launched after Valley Street stop
LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers encountered Margo M. Houtz, 40, of Mifflintown, during surveillance on the 200 block of Valley Street in Lewistown at 2:06 p.m. on June 5, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. Police reported she showed signs of drug impairment and possessed cocaine and paraphernalia.
Intoxicated man charged after entering neighbor’s apartment LEWISTOWN — At 4:35 p.m. June 5, Lewistown Police Department officers charged Martin S. Heath Jr., 49, of Lewistown, with trespassing after he entered a Logan Street residence to retrieve his dog while intoxicated and damaged property, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. Heath also forced his way into a bedroom before officers arrived. Mifflin County Probation was notified that Heath was consuming alcohol in violation of the terms of his supervision.
Driver arrested for DUI after nearly striking parked vehicle
LEWISTOWN — At 12:07 a.m. June 6, Lewistown Police Department officers stopped an unidentified 53-year-old Lewistown man who nearly struck a parked vehicle and drove the wrong way down a one-way alley in the area of Valley and East Third streets, according to a release issued on Thursday. Police reported he was severely intoxicated and later admitted marijuana was also present in his blood.
Lewistown man arrested on active Juniata County warrant
LEWISTOWN — Kerry R. Scott, 53, of Lewistown, came to the Lewistown Police Department station to retrieve keys but he was arrested at 3:10 p.m. June 6, when officers found he had an active Juniata County warrant, according to a release issued on Thursday.
Police searching for armed fugitive after violent incidents
LEWISTOWN — At 9:09 p.m. June 6, Lewistown Police Department officers assisted Mifflin County Regional Police after Curtis T. Williams, 42, of Lewistown, fled a Reedsville residence on a motorcycle following a reported assault, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. Williams made statements that he will “shoot it out” with police and is considered armed and dangerous.
Man assaulted, gun discharged during early-morning incident LEWISTOWN — At 5:21 a.m. June 8, Lewistown Police Department officers responded to South Wayne Street in Lewistown where a male victim reported being struck in the head with a firearm by Curtis T. Williams, 42, of Lewistown, according to a release issued on Thursday. Police said a round was discharged into a wall during the incident, and the other male was transported for treatment.
Resident loses money in jury-duty scam
LEWISTOWN — An unidentified area resident reported being scammed by callers claiming they missed jury duty and owed money at 3:19 p.m. June 8, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. The victim withdrew several hundred dollars and later sent additional funds to a Chime account.
Homeless man arrested after resisting officers
LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers arrested Todd M. Chatman, 34, of address unknown, after he displayed signs of methamphetamine impairment and resisted officers’ attempts to detain him at 9:39 p.m. June 8, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Thursday. Police recovered used needles and a marijuana pipe.
Lewistown woman arrested for violating PFA order
LEWISTOWN — Jennie L. Multop, 54, of Lewistown, was arrested by Lewistown Police Department officers after she entered a property on Logan Street in Lewistown in violation of a Protection From Abuse order at 4:44 p.m. on June 9, according to a release issued on Thursday. Surveillance footage confirmed she removed two chairs from the residence.
Intoxicated man charged with paraphernalia, public drunkenness
LEWISTOWN — At 7:04 p.m. June 9, Lewistown Police Department officers arrested Tate S. Young, 30, of Lewistown, after finding him highly intoxicated and unable to walk safely near Chestnut Street in Lewistown, according to a release issued on Thursday. A marijuana pipe was found during the arrest.
