Lewistown man charged in child exploitation case

Authorities allege multiple child sexual abuse material offenses

LEWISTOWN — A Lewistown man is facing nearly 30 felony charges after an investigation by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force allegedly uncovered child sexual abuse material stored in online accounts linked to him.

David Curtis Domain Jr., 45, was arraigned June 3 with 26 counts of child sexual abuse material and one count of criminal use of a communication facility. Court records show seven of the child sexual abuse material charges are second-degree felonies, while 19 are third-degree felonies.

According to the criminal complaint, the investigation began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received reports in 2025 involving suspected child sexual abuse material associated with online accounts linked to a Lewistown-area phone number. Investigators alleged that material was uploaded to and stored on cloud-based services and later shared through a social media platform.

Authorities executed search warrants and subpoenas during the months-long investigation. Investigators alleged they ultimately located at least 25 files depicting child sexual abuse material in an online storage account and additional material associated with a social media account linked to Domain.

The affidavit states investigators connected the accounts to Domain through subscriber records, account information, photographs and other identifying information obtained during the investigation.

District Judge Craig A. Weston arraigned Domain on June 4. Bail was set at $250,000 monetary bail, and court records indicate he was committed to Mifflin County Correctional Facility after being unable to post bail.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. June 17 before Weston.

Starting at $2.99/week.
