Centre County Inn cited for liquor code violation
STATE COLLEGE — The Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement cited a Centre County business in May for an alleged violation of state liquor regulations, according to a monthly enforcement report.
According to the report, The Nittany Lion Inn in State College was cited for allegedly failing to have a board-approved manager complete Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP) owner/manager training within 180 days of the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board’s approval of the appointment. The alleged violation occurred during the period of April 7 through May 10, 2026.
The citation was one of three violation letters issued by the Altoona District Office of the Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement during May. The district office oversees enforcement activities in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Centre, Fulton, Huntingdon, Mifflin and Somerset counties.
The enforcement report also noted the district office received 87 complaints during the month, issued 13 warning letters, filed 10 underage drinking citations, issued eight citations involving false identification and made eight criminal arrests.
