In honor of the 250th Anniversary of the United States, a handcrafted Betsy Ross flag will be offered as a silent auction item at this year’s yard sale at Valley View Village, 4702 E. Main St., Belleville. The yard sale, which also features a bake sale, is open to the public on Tuesday, June 23 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Wednesday, June 24 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds of the yard sale benefit the Village Activities and Program Fund. Village resident Pat Leach is pictured with the flag that will be available for silent auction.
