Juniata Christian School to host inaugural event for new soccer field
MCALISTERVILLE — Juniata Christian School will host a public inaugural event Saturday, April 25, to celebrate its new PIAA-approved soccer field.
The event will begin at 3:30 p.m. and include a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Rep. David H. Rowe, along with food trucks and family-friendly activities.
The field, completed this fall, was supported by volunteers and donors. Additional features, including a concession stand, pavilion, scoreboard and bleachers, are planned.
As part of the event, the school will host its first alumni soccer games, with alumni women facing the current varsity girls team at 4 p.m., followed by alumni men versus the varsity boys team at 5:30 p.m.
The field and parking area are part of a broader effort to accommodate the school’s growth and provide space for community events.
