LEWISTOWN — A new four-way stop will be implemented next week at the intersection of Ferguson Valley Road and Route 322 in Derry Township to improve traffic safety, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
PennDOT said new stop signs will be installed this week at the intersection of Route 1007 (Ferguson Valley Road), Valley Meadow Drive and Route 322.
Previously, the intersection operated as a two-way stop, with no stop requirement for traffic traveling on Ferguson Valley Road. Under the new traffic pattern, drivers on Ferguson Valley Road will now be required to stop before entering the intersection.
PennDOT said the change is intended to improve safety for motorists traveling through the area.
