Police address the ongoing trespassing at MCIDC Plaza

LEWISTOWN — The Granville Township Police Department released a statement yesterday regarding ongoing trespassing at the Mifflin County Industrial Development Co. plaza, located at 6395 state Route 103 North, Lewistown.
According to the release, MCIDC is actively working in coordination with Granville Township Police Department.
As a privately owned property MCIDC Plaza is not open to unauthorized access. Individuals entering or remaining on the property without permission are in violation of posted notices and applicable local and state laws.
Due to recent incidents, MCIDC has increased security measures and formally requested law enforcement assistance to monitor and enforce trespassing violations at the site.
Law enforcement officers are authorized to respond to reported incidents, remove unauthorized individuals from the property, and take enforcement action as appropriate, including the issuance of citations or arrests under applicable trespass statutes.
MCIDC’s priority is to ensure the safety of the public, nearby businesses, tenants, and first responders, as well as to protect the integrity of the property. Members of the public are advised to respect all posted signage and avoid entering restricted areas of MCIDC Plaza.
