Calendar

The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.

Events that require a purchase from a for-profit business, even if a donation is made to the organization, are not eligible for the calendar.

Please be brief and include only basic details. If possible, provide a phone number or email address to be published with contact information.

Saturday

•Holiday bazaar — 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 20 S. Main St., Milroy. Unique crafts and baked goods.

•Graceful Soles Shoe Bank — 9 a.m. to noon, Grace United Methodist Church, 101 Logan St., Lewistown. Children up to age 18 are given a free pair of shoes with verification of low income through medical assistance. Parent or guardian must accompany child.

•Cookie walk – 10 a.m. to noon, East Salem Church. Purchase a bag for $10 to fill with cookies. Soup and sandwiches available for takeout. Proceeds benefit church missions and special projects. Proceeds from crafts and baked goods benefit Joyful Quilters.

Sunday

•Holiday Open House — 1 to 3 p.m., Hoopes School, located just off Rte. 522 N. at Long Ln., Lewistown.

• McCoy House Museum — 1-3 p.m., 17 N. Main St., Lewistown.

• Bingo — Doors open at 4 p.m. Bingo starts at 5 p.m., Lewistown Elks Lodge, 229 W. 3rd St., Lewistown. Rip tickets will be sold. Short order menu available for purchase.

• Captain Jack / Mount Union Area High School get-together — 6 p.m. at Downtown OIP.
