No injuries reported in two-vehicle crash

MOUNT UNION -- On Friday, Nov. 7, State Police at Lewistown investigated a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 22 and North Jefferson Street in Mount Union. According to the report, at 11:26 p.m., a 2017 Volkswagen Jetta operated by Leeann Quarry, 19, of Mount Union attempted to turn onto North Jefferson Street but did not have the proper clearance and struck a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Dhan Magar, 30, of Buffalo, New York. No injuries were reported.

One injured in vehicle crash

MIFFLINTOWN -- A passenger was injured in a one-vehicle crash Oct. 7 in Juniata County. According to State Police, The accident occurred on Route 22 just west of Macedonia Gap Road in Fermanagh Township. Iszabella Rice, 23, of Indiana, was the driver of a Chrysler Sebring when she fell asleep and lost control of the vehicle, striking concrete barriers on both sides of the highway. A passenger in Rice's vehicle, Seth Villemain, 25, of Indiana, was transported for a suspected minor injury. Rice and another passenger were not injured.

Driver arrested after vehicle crash

McCLURE -- State Police responded to a vehicle crash in Decatur Township on Friday, Oct. 3. According to the report, Dylan Carter, 35, of Yeagertown, was the operator of a Chevy Silverado on Route 522 North at the intersection of Mail Pouch Road. Carter's vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole before coming to rest in a ditch. Carter was not injured in the crash. He was arrested for DUI.

Charges filed after vehicle crash in Juniata County

MIFFLINTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a two-vehicle crash on Thursday, Oct. 16 along William Penn Highway in Juniata County. The report states that the operator of a Subaru Legacy, Margaret Janowicz, 72, of Mifflintown, and a passenger, Sherry Simms, 52, of McAlisterville, were stopped at a stop sign on Orange Street. Janowicz's vehicle proceeded through the intersection without proper clearance and was struck by a Volkswagen Jetta operated by Cayleigh Murphy, 21, of Mifflin. Janowicz and Simms reported minor injuries. Murphy was not injured. Janowicz was cited for a vehicle code infraction.
