Brad Strawser explained, "The biggest new event to the fair this year is the Parmalee concert taking place on Aug. 31. It's been years since a concert of this magnitude has taken place at the Juniata County Fair, and we are honored to have a band like Parmalee headline the event. We've sold hundreds of tickets since this event was announced earlier in the year and as we get closer to the fair, more and more are beginning to sell. For our country music fans, we're excited to have an atmosphere like this be a part of our yearly county fair."
Some other events this year include a talent show, rodeo, livestock shows, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting and tons of other activities, rides and food. Plus, the races that will be happening simultaneously.
Strawser explained, "One of our goals with the Juniata County Fair is to be able to create lifelong memories for all of the families in our local area. We look to provide something for every single one of our local residents while also bringing a number of attendees who aren't from Juniata County to show them what we have to offer. Whether you are a farmer, a crafter, a baker, a music-lover, a foodie, or a race fan, there is something for you inside our fairgrounds. We feel that the fair encompasses what our small rural county has to offer and want to show that to everyone who comes inside the gates. For our locals who come year-in and year-out, we want them to be able to leave the fair with a smile on their face, thinking about how they can't wait to come back next year with their family and their friends."
