LEWISTOWN -- Firefighters from Chief Logan Fire Co were called to the 800 block of East Walnut Street early Thursday morning for reports of a house fire.

Upon arrival of Junction Fire Company Deputy Chief Terry Beers, it was confirmed the reports of a working house fire at 811 E Walnut St. Firefighters were met by heavy fire conditions in two attached house trailers.

Chief Logan Fire Co Chief Eric Moist reported both residences were vacant at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

Moist said the fire took a long time to deem under control due to a live power line that had come down prior to fire department arrival and that both buildings appeared to have been being used for storage at the time of the fire.

Moist has turned the investigation over to the Pennsylvania State Police Lewistown Fire Marshal's Office.

Firefighters from Chief Logan were assisted by Yeagertown Fire Co, Decatur Fire Co, City Hook & Ladder, Junction Fire Co, Heritage Fire Co, Fame EMS, Local Fire Police, and Mifflin County Regional Police.

US 522 N was closed during the incident and reopened around 5:30 a.m.
