Brown Township Heroes Banner application period extended

REEDSVILLE — The deadline to apply for a Reedsville Hometown Heroes Banner has been extended to Feb. 12.

Applications can be picked up at the Brown Township municipal building. The program is open to present or deceased residents of Reedsville. The banner is double sided with the same information on both sides.

Applicants are asked to submit a good quality photograph of the individual being honored.

Applicants are accepted on a first-come basis. Banners will hang from early spring to late fall 2025. Applicant will receive the banner when it is taken down.

The program will continue in 2026. If spaces are available after new application requests are honored, you may request the banner to be rehung for a fee. Application and payment must be mailed to: P.O. Box 98, Reedsville, PA 17084.

Ellen Chapel Church free concert postponed until Feb. 15

LEWISTOWN — The free concert scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8 at Ellen Chapel Church coffee house has been postponed until Saturday, Feb. 15.

Kings Return performance at Bucknell University canceled

LEWISBURG — The performance by Kings Return, originally scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts at Bucknell University, has been canceled due to artist illness.
