The year was 2015 and the average gas price in Pennsylvania was $2.80 per gallon. The Kansas City Royals won the World Series and the movie, “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2” came to the silver screen.

But, we can’t forget about some of the hit songs that entered our headphones and radio stations that year. Let’s reflect on some of the songs of 2015.

“Renegades” — X Ambassadors

This song can be found on the Ambassadors’ “VHS” album. “Renegades” is about people who defy the odds when everything seems to be against them. This tune is classified as alternative rock, electropop and classical among other genres of music. It’s a song you can vibe out too, but it can be considered motivational.

“Lean On” — MO, Major Lazer, DJ Snake

This song can be described as electronic, Reggae or Bhangra among other genres of music. “Lean On” can be found on the “Peace is the Mission” album. “Lean On” is about young love, looking at the future and hoping a special someone is still by their side. This is a tune you can snap your fingers and bob your head to while on that nice summer drive.

“See You Again” — Wiz Khalifa

“See You Again” is on the “Most Wanted, Vol. 2” album. Charlie Puth is also a featured artist on the song. The Wiz Khalifa hit earned a Billboard Music Award for Top Hot 100 Song and Billboard Music Award for Top Rap Song. “See You Again” is a pop rap song that might stir some emotions, but its lyrics can be heard around the world with much joy nonetheless.

“Watch Me” — Silento

This Silento classic has the artist telling bystanders to watch him execute some dance moves. This hip-hop, rap song is something anyone can dance to. For the most part it’s a slow-paced song that you can move your head to. “Watch Me” was on the “Watch Me” album. This song was also Silento’s debut single. The tune peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

“Drag Me Down” — One Direction

It’s assumed that this song is about One Direction saying the support of their fans is what matters. With the fans’ support no one can bring the band down. “Drag Me Down” is on the “Made in the A.M.” album. The pop song brings an upbeat vibe to the airwaves and the vocals are top tier. It’s a fun listen and it’s a nice song to dance to.

2015 brought a lot for our amusement and it’s neat to look back on what was considered cool at the time. Cheers to the 10 year anniversary for the songs listed above. It was fun flying down memory lane again.
