Lewistown female jailed on burglary, theft and other charges

LEWISTOWN — A 25-year-old Lewistown woman has been charged with burglary, criminal trespassing, theft, and harassment after an incident at an apartment complex at 420 Valley St., Lewistown, at 10:02 p.m. on Jan. 4, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. Jasmine Kayla Robertson was lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility in Lewistown, pending arraignment by the on-call Magisterial District Judge, the report said.

Officers arrived on the scene and heard neighbors complaining in the hallway about trash Robertson had left outside her apartment, the report said. Robertson became upset and she went to the neighbor’s apartment and opened their door where she began confronting them, police said. Robertson was pushed out of the apartment, and, during this time, a male associated with Robertson and a male from the apartment where Robertson opened the door began fighting in the hallway, police said. Robertson then opened the apartment door a second time where she began assaulting a female inside the apartment, police said. The female in the apartment sustained minor injuries which did not require immediate medical attention, police said. A teenaged juvenile male in the apartment attempted to pull Robertson off the female and Robertson began assaulting the juvenile. The juvenile dropped a cell phone which Robertson reportedly attempted to take possession, police said. Robertson then fled the apartment and she grabbed a cell phone that had fallen out of the pocket of a male who was engaged in a fight in the hallway, police said. Robertson fled back into her apartment with the other male’s cell phone, said police, who were able to retrieve the phone and return it to the owner.

Lewistown man arrested for active

warrant related to retail theft

LEWISTOWN — Brandon T. Freed, 40, of Lewistown, was arrested at 10:30 p.m. on Jan. 4, for an active warrant from the prothonotary’s office for retail theft, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. Freed owed more than $22,000 in back fines and costs, police said. Freed was taken into custody without incident and lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility, police said.

Reedsville man cited after

hit-and-run incident

LEWISTOWN — Tanner E. Rager, 28, of Reedsville, was cited for several summary traffic violations relating to the hit-and-run at 6:16 p.m. on Jan. 5, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. The report said officers received a complaint from a resident on Crystal Springs Avenue that their vehicle was struck around 4:30 a.m. Police said the vehicle that caused the accident failed to stop and provide information. The resident reviewed video and a truck hauling a trailer was identified on the camera, police said. Officers located this vehicle parked a short distance away, police said. Rager was identified as the owner of that vehicle, police said.

Contraband charges pending against teenager after noise disturbance

LEWISTOWN — Ryan R. Marks, 18, of Lewistown, is facing contraband charges after attempting to conceal a large bag of marijuana in the crotch of his pants from Lewistown Police Department officers at 4:19 a.m. on Jan. 6, according to a release issued on Friday. Officers responded to 45 Spanogle Ave., Lewistown, for a reported disturbance, the report said. Occupants were playing music loudly and subjects were heard inside yelling at each other, police said. Officers asked to check on the welfare of the occupants, which is when Marks tried to hide the contraband, said police, which they seized.

Charges pending against Denver, Pa., man for theft from motor vehicles

LEWISTOWN — Charges for theft from motor vehicles are pending against Josiah Ingraham, 21, of Denver, Pa., after he was observed entering vehicles and removing change at the Sheetz, 113 N. Juniata St., Lewistown, at 8:13 a.m. on Jan. 6, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. Police said a customer reported noticing approximately $25 in change stolen from their center console while they were away from their vehicle. The report said officers reviewed video footage and were able to positively identify Ingraham, based upon his past contact with officers. The report said, on Jan. 10, 2025, officers were able to make contact with Ingraham, who admitted to the theft.

Man charged with aggravated assault

of correctional officer

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers responded to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility to investigate an assault on a corrections officer, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. Inmate Shaun D. Mellott, 21, of Lewistown, was separated from another inmate after Mellott became belligerent with that individual, the report said. After Mellott was separated, he kicked a correctional officer in the face causing damage to the officer’s glasses, the report said. The officer was not seriously injured, and Mellott was charged with aggravated assault as the assault was on a correctional officer, the report said.

Lewistown man arrested for warrant from Huntingdon County

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers assisted Mifflin County Regional Police Department by interviewing a subject at 12:48 p.m. on Jan. 7 on Sunset Road regarding a theft their department was investigating, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. During this time, officers contacted Trey N. Secrest, 41, of Lewistown, who they discovered had a warrant from the Huntingdon County Sheriff’s Office, police said. Secrest was taken into custody without incident and lodged in Mifflin County Correctional Facility to await extradition to Huntingdon County, police said.

Police investigating device fraud relating to money stolen from account

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers received a report of access device fraud from a resident on the 300 block of Logan Street, Lewistown, at 5:36 p.m. on Jan. 7, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. Police said the resident reported someone remove money from their account. Police said the withdrawal occurred at the Uni-Mart, 301 Valley St. Lewistown, and have located a person of interest. Police said they are waiting on video to further the investigation.
