Griffith announces bid for reelection

LEWISTOWN — Diane Griffith, of Lewistown, is seeking reelection on the Republican ticket for the office of Mifflin County treasurer.
Griffith has been Mifflin County’s treasurer since 2022.
If elected, Griffith will continue to serve the area with professionalism and courtesy.
“I will serve with integrity and efficiency. The treasurer’s office will continue to be a pleasant, competently run office,” she said in a news release. “My goal will be to serve the people of Mifflin County with high-quality customer service and to run my office in a cost-effective way saving Mifflin County taxpayer dollars. I ask for your vote for Mifflin County treasurer in the primary election on May 20.”
Griffith is a lifelong resident of Mifflin County. She is married to Lonnie Griffith and has two children, Rachel Cunningham, married to Jason Cunningham, and Christopher Griffith, married to Hannah Dussman Griffith. She has six grandchildren.
Griffith has a bachelor’s degree from Lock Haven University and a master’s degree from Wilkes University. She is a retired math teacher with 20 years of teaching experience in the Mifflin County School District.
Griffith also participated in a corrections education program at the Juniata County Prison. Before starting a family, she worked as a teller at Mellon Bank.
Griffith supports, and in the past, has volunteered at Crossroads Pregnancy Center. She has also taught children’s church and Sunday school.
