On May 2, the streaming service Amazon Prime released the movie "The idea of you" starring Anne Hathaway. Many social media users positively raved about the film upon release, so much so that I had to give it a watch.

This film is about Solene, a 40-year-old newly divorced mother, who falls for a much younger man. The 24-year-old Hayes (Nicholas Galitzine) is the lead singer for a popular boy band who Hathaway's character meets serendipitously. They then fall head first into a whirlwind romance.

I love a good romance movie, but I wasn't entirely sure about this one. I'm nearly 30 and couldn't see dating a younger man let alone a famous man. But, as Hathaway's character Solene soon finds out, falling in love with Hayes is an exciting and freeing adventure. She feels adored and appreciated again, but her romance would also come with a great deal of obstacles.

This steamy romance movie, even with its tear-jerking moments, depicts scenes that will make you think "I want that."

A good movie to me is one that takes you out of your head for a little while. Although this movie isn't in my top ten list, I was hooked on "The idea of you" from beginning to end. I watched the film twice just to enjoy the storyline again.

I rate "The idea of you" a 7/10 compared to the 6.6/10 IMDb rating. However, my nostalgia for Hathaway's long standing place on the big screen leads me to provide the actress and her co star a 10/10 for an outstanding performance.
