Mifflintown couple loses
bank card, fraudulently used
NEWPORT -- Pennsylvania State Police at Newport are investigating potentially fraudulent charges made at multiple stores on a bank card lost by the owner, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Saturday. Carl Smith, 51, and Tina Smith, 50, both of Mifflintown, might have lost a wallet containing the card at 1:57 p.m. on April 20, the report said. A suspect attempted to use the card at multiple stores, police said.
State police investigating
theft in Snyder County
MIDDLEBURG -- A 32-year-old unidentified Middleburg woman was the victim of theft, according to Public Information Release Report issued Saturday by Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove. The incident occurred at 11:30 a.m. Saturday on No Go Lane in Franklin Township, the report said. Police are investigating and no other details were available.
Harrisburg man jailed
on bench warrant
BEAVER SPRINGS -- A 29-year-old Harrisburg man has been incarcerated in Snyder County Prison after Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove discovered he had an active bench warrant out of Snyder County on Friday, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Saturday. Police responded to a report that Drew Saner acting abnormally along Middle Creek Road at 3:49 p.m. Friday, the report said. Saner admitted to ingesting a controlled substance and was impaired enough to put himself and others in danger, the report said. Summary charges were filed by Magisterial District Judge Bo Trawitz, police said.

victim of fraudulent account
MIDDLEBURG -- Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove are investigating a report of an alleged fraudulent account by an unidentified 56-year-old Middleburg man, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Saturday. The incident of identity theft took place sometime on April 15 on Bowersox Road in Center Township, police said.
