Senior Fair, scam seminar offered
STATE COLLEGE -- A scam seminar and senior fair will be held at Centre Care in Benner Township on Thursday, May 23.
The Senior Fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The scam seminar will take place from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Both events will take place at Centre Care, located in Benner Township at 250 Persia Road.
The event will feature a full day of activities with representatives from Pennsylvania state agencies, including the departments of Banking and Securities, and Aging, and the Office of Attorney General, among others, who will provide education and tools to help attendees identify and prevent the latest scams affecting our communities.

John Joyce to host talk on Medicare
LEWISTOWN -- Congressman John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) will host a live telephone town hall event to answer questions about Social Security and Medicare at 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 22. During the call, Joyce will provide a brief legislative update before taking questions on Social Security and Medicare issues.
Joyce will be joined on the call by CMS Philadelphia Regional Administrator Sharon Graham and Social Security Administration Public Affairs Specialist Frank Magni, who will provide in-depth answers to questions relating to Social Security and Medicare for recipients, families, care givers, and those who are preparing to begin using these programs.
