Middle School to host Band Fest
LEWISTOWN -- Mifflin County Middle School will host the 2024 PMEA District 4 Sixth Grade Band Fest on Friday, May 17.
One hundred thirty seven students from 22 school districts will be attending the event. The guest director is Kevin Milliken, retired band and choral director from East Juniata High School. Selections for the concert include works by Robert W. Smith, Michael Story, Douglas E. Wagner and local musician and composer Phil Loewen, retired band director from Southern Huntingdon County High School.
At the conclusion of the day, students will perform a concert that is open to the public. The event begins at 7 p.m. and tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for children.
