HOLLIDAYSBURG -- A 39-year-old man was arrested last week after police said he attempted to coerce a victim to skip a court hearing.
Michael B. Hendrickson, of Hollidaysburg, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Tracy Powell April 26 on charges of felony intimidating a witness in an effort to withhold testimony and three counts of misdemeanor terroristic threats.
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, a victim went to the Pennsylvania State Police barracks at Lewistown to report that Hendrickson had been harassing her.
The report states that Hendrickson had been calling "nonstop" and that she had 21 missed calls from his phone number within a 30-minute time span.
The report says the victim answered the call while police were present and Hendrickson asked the victim to not attend a preliminary hearing in which they were a victim.
The report states that Hendrickson threatened to kill and rape the victim and members of their family via text message.
Hendrickson is being held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility, unable to post $100,000 monetary bail. He is awaiting a preliminary hearing set for 10 a.m. May 8.
