The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.
Events that require a purchase from a for-profit business, even if a donation is made to the organization, are not eligible for the calendar.

• Free Gardening Workshop -- 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 7, Body and Soul Community Center, Strodes Mill. Leah Fronk, horticulture specialist from Penn State Extension, will be guest speaker. Topics discussed include small fruit production of strawberries, raspberries and other brambles, blueberries and grapes. Also, a short talk by Rose Massie about foliar sprays - what they are, when and how to use them. A free sample of a foliar spray will be available for those who attend. • Dinner theater -- 6:30 p.m., May 9-11, Richfield Life Ministries Church. Production of "All's Fair" including a dinner theater. Begins with a meal, including a choice of pulled pork or barbecue chicken, potatoes, mac and cheese, vegetable, dessert. A Saturday afternoon show will be offered beginning at 1 p.m. with desserts only. Tickets: $15 per person, $10 for Children 5-10 years old. The Saturday afternoon show will be $10 for everyone. • Mother's Day dinner --
