LEWISTOWN -- It may come as no surprise that former President Donald J. Trump and Joseph R. Biden Jr. will again face off for president of the United States in November's general election, according to Tuesday's unofficial election results in Mifflin County.
On the Republican side, former president Donald J. Trump received 4,888 of 5,504 total votes -- or 89 percent ---- in Mifflin County, while opponent Nikki R. Haley received 569 votes.
On the Democratic side, President Joseph R. Biden Jr. took 1,332 of 1,596 total votes -- or 88 percent --and his opponent, Dean Phillips, took 170 votes.
U.S. Senate
Casey will face Republican candidate Dave McCormick in the general election. McCormick also ran unopposed in Tuesday's primary, taking 5,215 of 5,243 total Mifflin County votes. McCormick served as Under Secretary of the Treasury for International Affairs during the George W. Bush administration.
The senior United States senator from Pennsylvania, Democratic incumbent Sen. Bob Casey Jr. picked up 1,558 votes out of 1,591 Tuesday. Casey -- who has held his seat since 2007 -- rolled through Tuesday's primary election unchallenged for the Democratic seat. If successful, this would mark his fourth term in the Senate.
Attorney General
On the Republican side, Dave Sunday was the top vote getter receiving 3,807 votes out of 5,038 votes casted. Craig Williams received 1,222.
Eugene Depasquale was the top vote getter on the Democratic side in the race for attorney general with a total of 742 votes out of 1,561. J Joe Khan received 281 votes. Jared Solomon received 219 votes.Keir Bradford-Grey received 160 votes and Jack Stollsteimer received 148 votes and .
Sunday and Williams will face off in the November general election.
Auditor General
Mark Pinsley was the top vote getter on the Democratic side in the race for auditor general receiving 792 votes out of 1,520. Malcolm Kenyatta received 716 total votes.
On the Republican side, Tim Defoor ran unopposed, receiving 4,920 total votes.
Pinsley and Defoor will face off in the November general election.
State Treasurer
Erin McClelland was the top vote getter on the Democratic side in the race for state treasurer. McClelland received 862 votes out of 1,533. Ryan Bizzarro received 660 votes.
On the Republican side, Stacy Garrity ran unopposed, receiving 4,979 out of 4,985 votes. total votes.
McClelland and Garrity will face off in the November general election.
13th Congressional District
Democratic candidate Beth Farnham ran unopposed, receiving 1,473 out of 1,485 Mifflin County votes.
Farnham will go up against Republican John Joyce -- who also ran unopposed -- in the general election. Joyce received 4,829 votes out of 4,847 in Mifflin County's unofficial election result.
Pennsylvania's 13th Congressional District unites Juniata, Mifflin, Huntingdon and Perry Counties with Adams, Franklin, Fulton, Bedford, Cambria, Blair and the western edge of Cumberland County and the northwest corner of Somerset County.
General Assembly
Kerry Benninghoff ran unopposed on the Republican ticket, receiving 3,606 out of 3,612 Mifflin County votes. No Democratic candidates were named on Tuesday's ballot.
Delegates
Three delegates were declared winners for both the Republican and Democratic national conventions, from the 13th Congressional District.
Republicans Juanita Byler, Bill Ward Jr. and C. Arnold McClure were the top three-vote getters with 3,040,1,999 and 1,873 of 12,618 total votes cast. Falling short in their bids were candidates Steven Carowick Jr. with 1,726 votes, Erich Hawbaker with 1,590 votes, Jim Foreman with 1,510 votes and Jim Vasilko with 846 votes.
There were also three alternate delegates voted in with Judy Ward and Linda McClure as the top vote-getters with Ward receiving 3,814 votes out of 7,380 and McClure taking 3,407 votes.
On the Democratic side, there were only two candidates for three seats. Matthew Gribbler and Lisa Kramer led with 1,040 and 1,314 votes.
