LEWISTOWN -- The Bald Eagle State Forest will be conducting a prescribed burn at the top of Seven Mountains on the Centre County side starting around 10 a.m. Thursday.
Smoke from the fire will most likely be visible from many of the surrounding areas but the Mifflin County Office of Public Safety does not expect US 322 to be impacted by visibility issues.
DCNR has not released a completion time but they are estimating that they will be burning approximately 130 acres.
Crews from DCNR will be in the area monitoring the fire. There is no need to report smoke conditions from the proscribed burn to 911.
