Burglary alarm sounds at UPS

REEDSVILLE -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a burglary alarm at the UPS Customer Center, 145 Royal St., Reedsville, at 9:18 a.m. Feb. 4, according to a Public Information Report issued on Saturday. No other information was available.

Man suffers minor injuries in

two-vehicle crash

RICHFIELD -- A Richfield man suffered minor injuries during a two-vehicle accident at 7 a.m. Friday on Route 35 North in the area of Little Evendale Road, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Saturday. Ashley J. Hoffman, 38, was driving a 1995 Ford Ranger, police said, when it struck the rear end of a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Jay P. Graybill, 24, of Cocolamus. Police said Graybill was attempting to turn into his workplace and was not injured. The report said Hoffman was suspected of suffering a minor injury, but he refused transport. The report said both men were wearing seat belts. State police were assisted by Fayette Township Fire Co. and EMS and Richfield Fire Co.

Police investigate stolen Ford

THOMPSONTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating an alleged vehicle theft by Hunter Amrhein, 25, of Thompsontown at 7:19 a.m. Saturday, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Saturday. Amrhein told troopers his 2015 Ford was taken from 255 Pine St., Thompsontown.

Two charged from inactive domestic

PORT ROYAL -- Magisterial District Judge Tracy L. Powell charged A Juniata County male and female after they were arrested for an inactive domestic, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Friday. The incident took place at 1:33 p.m. on April 1. Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to 16 First St., Port Royal, where they arrested Brent Collins, 19, Liverpool, and a 17-year-old female, Port Royal.

Three escape injury after two-vehicle accident

MIFFLINTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown said three Juniata County residents escaped injury during a two-vehicle accident at 6:52 a.m. Thursday on Route 75 South near Ridge Road, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Friday. Police said Jasmine N. Hockenberry, 21, of Port Royal, was driving a 2020 Hyundai Kona when she pulled out in front of a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, which was being driven by Amanda E. Davis, 30, of Mifflintown. The front passenger side portion of Hockenberry's vehicle struck the rear passenger side port of the other vehicle. Both drivers were wearing seat belts; neither was injured, the report said. A 6-year-old male was a passenger in Davis' vehicle and was in a child safety season, police said. He was also not injured, police said. Friendship Fire Co. No. 1 and Port Royal EMS assisted state police.

MIFFLINTOWN - Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown recovered a firearm along Free Springs Church Road in Fayette Township at 10:40 a.m. on Friday, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Friday. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact state police at (717) 320-1010.

Altoona driver spins out on slick road

REEDSVILLE -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown were observing traffic on Route 322 West when troopers observed three vehicles on the eastbound lanes on the side of the roadway near Back Mountain Road, Armagh Township, at 2:42 p.m. Friday, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Friday. When police arrived on scene, troopers observed Matthew L. Massaro, 39, of Altoona, exit his 2012 Ford Escape, the report said. Massaro said, according to police, that the road was slick from hail and freezing rain, and when he attempted to break, he spun and struck the guard railing before coming to a stop. Massaro was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

RICHFIELD -- Two Juniata County residents were transported to Geisinger Lewistown Hospital after suffering injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Route 35 South at the intersection of Apple Road, Fayette Township, at 11:49 a.m. on April 2, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Friday. Driving a 2008 Ford Focus, a 17-year-old driver from Richfield hydroplaned and struck the embankment off of the right-hand side of the roadway. A 17-year-old female was also in the vehicle; both were wearing seat belts. Richfield Fire Co., Fayette Township EMS and Richfield EMS assisted police, along with Gray's Towing.

Man cited for

disorderly conduct

MCCLURE -- Samuel Smith, 43, of McClure was cited for disorderly conduct by Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove as he arrived at a trailer he had sold to Matthew Lash, 26, of McClure, and demanded payment at 4 a.m. on Friday, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Sunday. When Lash arrived at the trailer, located at 4 Hill St., McClure, he began pounding on the door, awakening people inside, including children, while they slept, the report said. Smith was cited due to the timeframe in which this occurred.

Police: Man is victim of identity theft

MCCLURE -- Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove are investigating an identity theft that occurred at 2:04 p.m. on March 19, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Sunday. At 11:59 a.m. on March 21, police received a report on an identity theft to the male, police said, which included his name and address.

RICHFIELD -- Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove are investigating a claim by Mary Kerstetter, 66, of Richfield, that her identity was stolen at 6 p.m. March 18, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Sunday. Kerstetter, who lives at 719 Ridge Road, said someone stole her identity, police said.

Man had money stolen in wire fraud

MIDDLEBURG -- Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove are investigating a report of identity theft involving wire fraud, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Sunday. Dustin M. Gearhart, 36, of Middleburg, had money stolen with a value of $1,481.62 at 12 a.m. on March 4, police said.

BEAVERTOWN -- B&R Equipment, 15171 Route 522, Beavertown, reported a check was intercepted and fraudulently used at 9:54 a.m. on March 28, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Sunday. Police are continuing to investigate.

Easter party

MCCLURE -- Robyn Kratzer, 35, of Middleburg, was cited by Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove at 4 p.m. March 31 for harassment, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Sunday. Police were dispatched to an Easter party where several people got into an argument. After investigating, police said they determined Kratzer had slapped Charles Master, 42, of Middleburg, in the head. Master and Brady Shiffer, 31, of Beavertown, were also both cited with harassment for pushing each other, the report said.

Police investigate $6K fraudulent diesel charges on business card

BEAVER SPRINGS -- Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove is investigating $6,717.63 worth of fraudulent diesel fuel charges on a Gluttman Energy fleet fuel card that belonged to Remmey The Pallet Co., 3685 Sawmill Road, Spring Township, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Sunday. Police said the card was fraudulently used at three separate 7-Eleven and Speedway locations in Linden, Elizabeth and Hopelawn, N.J. The vehicle of interest observed on video surveillance was a white flatbed truck with no visible registration plate, police said. The card issue occurred between 12:54 a.m. on Feb. 24 and 7:47 a.m. on Feb. 27, police said.
