for selling tobacco to minors
HUNTINGDON -- An unidentified 21-year-old male was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police at Huntingdon for allegedly selling tobacco to minors at 3:16 p.m. on March 22, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Thursday. State police responded to a complaint at an unidentified business on William Penn Highway in Brady Township, the report said. After investigating the complaint, police said they arrested the employee.

of identity theft by deception
LIVERPOOL -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating a telephone call that a Liverpool woman received at 11:21 p.m. Saturday that led to an alleged identity theft, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Sunday. Katelynn Baker, 20, received a call from an unknown individual stating they were calling from her bank and requesting personal information from her, police said. She provided her social security number before realizing the call was fraudulent.
Police: Fermanagh Township female victim of identity theft
MIFFLINTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating a claim by a 65-year-old unidentified woman from Arch Rock Road in Fermanagh Township who said her social security number was stolen, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Thursday. The incident took place at 2:18 p.m. on March 20. Police have confirmed the identity theft took place, the report said.
McAlisterville man suffers back injuries during accident
MIFFLINTOWN -- A Mifflintown male suffered minor injuries and a New Bloomfield man escaped injuries during a two-vehicle accident at 1:05 p.m. March 26, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Thursday. Thomas C. Murphy, 76, was driving his 1998 GM Sierra and was stopped on Route 35 North facing a northbound direction to make a left-hand turn when he was struck by Joseph C. Comp, 25, in a 2009 Peterbilt, the report said. Police said Comp indicated he was not paying attention and struck Murphy in the rear. Both drivers indicated that Murphy had used his turn signal, the report said, and they were able to safely drive off the roadway. They were both wearing seat belts. Police said they cited Comp for following too closely. Due to suffering minor back injuries, Murphy was transported by Fayette Township Emergency Medical Services to Geisinger Lewistown Hospital, the report said, and his vehicle was towed from the scene by Geedey's Towing.
Police investigate domestic incident in Mifflintown
MIFFLINTOWN - A 20-year-old McAlisterville man was arrested and charged during an alleged domestic incident that took place at 12:26 a.m. on Thursday, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Thursday. Police responded to 309 Orange St., Mifflintown, and arrested Derek Galeas after an investigation. The victim was an 18-year-old female from Mifflintown. Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Tracy L. Powell.
