Home and Garden Show invades Mifflin County Youth Park
The Juniata Valley Home and Garden Show takes over the Mifflin County Youth Park, 110 W. Logan St., Reedsville, on Friday and Saturday. The hours are noon to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Landscape and craft vendors, food and popular antique appraisal event with Dr. Lori will be held on Friday afternoon. All-You-Can-Eat Benefit Breakfast Buffet: 6:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Christian Union Church's Family Life Center, 5230 Route 104, Mount Pleasant Mills. Includes ham, sausage, little smokies, dry beef or sausage gravy, biscuits, home fries or fried potatoes with onions, scrambled eggs, toast, pancakes and French toast and drink. Cost by donation. Proceeds benefit Swartz Senior cancer treatment.
AYCE Breakfast: 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, East Salem Community Church, 7398 Route 235 Mifflintown. Includes scrambled eggs, pancakes, muffins, sausage links, dry beef gravy and toast, orange juice and coffee. Cost is donation. Proceeds benefit special church projects.
AYCE Ham and Chicken Pot Pie Meal: 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Fremont Social Hall, 299 Millrace Road, Mount Pleasant Mills. Includes ham or chicken pot pie, Harvard beets, coleslaw, applesauce, dessert and drinks. Dine in or takeout. Cost is $13 for adults and $6 for children ages 5 to 11. Proceeds benefit Fremont Fire Department.
Juniata County Dairy Promotion Chicken Barbecue: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Locust Run Church, 25 Route 2007, Thompsontown. Pickup chicken halves or meals. Takeout only. Proceeds benefit Fill A Glass with Hope Fund, which purchases milk for Juniata County Food Pantry.
Free Movie Night
Reedsville United Methodist Church, 82 E. Logan St., Reedsville, playing free movie, "This Is Our Time," 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Refreshments served. All welcome.
Just For Kids
Kids Activity Night: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, LUMINA Center, 18 E. Third St., Lewistown. Celebrate Earth Day with fun projects. Open to first- through sixth-grade students. Registration required.
Princess Ball and Tea Party: Bring your prince or princess to enjoy tea or finger foods at Juniata Valley Winery's Princess Ball and Tea Party, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at 19175 Route 35, Mifflin. Four princesses will join festivities for magical day of crafts, stories, photo opportunities and much more. Cost is $45 per person. Children must be accompanied by adult.
