BELLEVILLE -- Isaac Rager, 32, of Reedsville, opened Seven Mountains Gunworks on Feb. 16, 2024, the same day as his late father's birthday.

"He was the first person to teach me how to shoot and respect guns," Rager said. "I opened the store in remembrance of him."

Rager said he grew up from the age of about three or four shooting and learning about guns; he loved it.

Rager also enrolled at Sonoran Desert Institute to expand upon his interest. This institute is an online school that helps students learn the skills and techniques they'll need to be successful in the firearms and unmanned technology industries. SDI is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission.

After he spent nine months learning at the institute, Rager received his certification in Firearms Technology - Gunsmithing. This program provides students with an overview of gunsmithing techniques and practices, shooting sports management, and more in a 32-credit-hour program.

"I didn't expect to open a shop so soon after graduating, but the location was perfect and everything has been a blessing," Rager said.

At Rager's store you can purchase guns, ammo and parts as well as order any of the products they do not have on site. You can also bring your guns into the store for repairs.

Seven Mountains Gunworks is located at 4553 East Main Street, Belleville is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Customers can contact the shop on Facebook or call Rager at (717) 607-9793.
