Man who struck dead deer uninjured in crash
MCVEYTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded at about 6 a.m. on Monday, March 25, to a one-vehicle car accident on US Highway 522 South, Oliver Township.
The report states that a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt operated by Keith Hoffmaster, 32, of Mount Union struck a dead deer on the roadway causing the vehicle to lose control, striking an embankment and roll over sustaining disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Houtz Towing. No injuries were reported.
Women face harassment charge in dispute
MIFFLINTOWN -- Two females were cited at about 6 p.m. Monday, March 11, for a physical domestic dispute on Britcher Drive, Fermanagh Township.
According to the report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, an unnamed 56-year-old Mifflintown woman and a 76-year-old Lewistown were both cited accordingly for their involvement in the incident.
Garbage truck towed following crash
PORT ROYAL -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a report that a 2021 Freightliner trash truck operated by Matthew Boyer, 40, of Lewistown overturned and traveled off the roadway into a nearby field along Varnes Road, Milford Township, near its intersection with Route 35 south.
According to the report no injuries were sustained as a result of the crash. The vehicle was towed from the scene by Parson's Towing.
Injuries sustained in vehicle rollover
MEXICO -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded at around 2 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, to a one-vehicle roll over crash on US Highway 522, Walker Township.
According to the report, a 2013 BMW driven by Heather Ledford, 56, of Huntingdon, left the roadway, striking an embankment before coming to its final position of rest on its passenger side.
Ledford was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital for suspected minor injuries.
The BMW was towed from the scene by Geedey's Towing.
