Crash caused by medical episode
McALISTERVILLE -- According to a police report issued at about 8 a.m. Thursday, March 21, Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a driver suffering from a diabetic episode.
The driver struck a utility pole after failing to maintain a path of travel when exiting the roadway on the right side of the road. He was traveling east on Evendale Hill Road.
The report states that a 2013 Ford F-150 proceeded a short distance after striking a utility pole and the porch of a residence. This vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
The driver, Darren Rowe, 57, of Cocolamus, related to officers that he was wearing his seatbelt and was not injured.
After being evaluated by emergency responders, it was determined the accident was caused from a diabetic episode.
Stolen vehicle reported Sunday
McALISTERVILLE - Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a report of a stolen vehicle on Sunday, March 24, from a residence on Evendale Hill Road.
According to the report the theft occurred between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Officers are investigating.
Woman arrested after shoplifting
MIFFLINTOWN - According to a report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, Autumn Thompson, 31, of McAlisterville, was arrested after shoplifting $319 worth of hair products from Weis Markets, Walker Township, on Saturday, March 16 at about midnight.
No charges filed in alleged theft
MIFFLINTOWN - Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown investigated a theft of services report on Friday, March 22 around 6 p.m. on Lions Club Park Road and Licking Creek Road.
During the investigation it was determined that several people were using the Fred Frankhouse Baseball Field's dumpster for their trash. Charges were not pursued.
Scam call reported last week
MOUNT UNION -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a report of stolen identity on Thursday, March 21 around 11 a.m. at a residence on Silverford Heights Road.
According to the report, an 82-year-old Mount Union man received a scam phone call but there are no leads at this time.
