Man faces criminal mischief charges
MCCLURE -- Daniel Wilson, 50, of McClure, was cited with criminal mischief at about noon Monday, Jan. 29, for damaging the window of a vehicle, on Snook Road, Decatur Township, according to a report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown. Police said the call was in response to an inactive domestic dispute. The value of the window was $80.
DUI charges filed in Juniata County
MIFFLINTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown investigated a DUI-type incident at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26 in which the unnamed driver traveled from their residence on Longacre Street, Milford Township, to another after consuming alcohol. No further details were provided.
No injuries reported when vehicle strikes deer
THOMPSONTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a one-vehicle crash at about 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
According to the report, a 2019 Honda Civic was traveling east on state Route 322, Delaware Township, at 65 miles per hour in the right lane when a deer ran into the roadway directly in front of the civic. Police said the driver, Abigail Traxler, 22, of Lewistown, was unable to avoid striking the deer and the vehicle sustained disabling damage before coming to final rest off of the right side of the roadway. Traxler was wearing her seatbelt and reported no injuries on scene.
