Center seeking items for benefit auction
LEWISTOWN -- A benefit auction will be held, beginning at 8:30 a.m. March 9, to raise funds for LUMINA Center programming for youth.
The Center is soliciting new and used items of value (clothing, exercise equipment, used mattresses, used cloth-covered furniture and older TVs not accepted). Call the LUMINA Center with items to be donated at (717) 242-2888 or email luminacenter18@gmail.com by March 4. Smaller items may be dropped off at the LUMININA Center. Larger items can be picked up by LUMINA personnel by making arrangements with the center. Donations will not be received after March 6 unless prior arrangements have been made.
Financial seminar geared toward parents offered
LEWISTOWN -- A free parent's guide seminar for "How money works for kids," will be held from 10 a.m. to noon March 2 at Miller Cinemas 6. The presenter will be Clay MacTarnaghan, an independent representative of Primerica.
