LEWISTOWN -- Chipotle Mexican Grill is operating a location in Lewistown.
The restaurant -- which has not announced its opening date -- will be located at 10444 Route 522 South in Lewistown in the same shopping plaza as Lowe's and Dunkin'.
Chipotle is opening in a 3,000-square-foot building that formerly housed Northwest Savings Bank.
Cale Bruso, a retail associate in Bennett Williams Commercial's York office who assisted on the deal, confirmed the details. "The transaction was a 15-year lease and a retrofit of a former bank," Bruso added.
Hours for Chipotle have also not been announced for the new Lewistown restaurant; however, the two State College locations are both open 10:45 a.m. to 11 p.m., seven days a week. The Chipotle restaurants in State College are located at 116 Hiester St. and 1850 N. Atherton St.
Chipotle was founded in Denver, Colo., in 1993. Eventually, the company will likely be seeking to fill positions at the Lewistown location.
The announcement for the Chipotle was first made by Bennett Williams Commercial Real Estate on Instagram, stating the restaurant was "Just Leased" and "Coming Soon." Bennett Williams operates five offices in Pennsylvania -- Exton, Lancaster, West Chester, Williamsport and York -- and one in New Jersey.
Bennett Williams, which represents more than 50 national retailers throughout central Pennsylvania, was also instrumental in the opening of the nearby Jersey Mike's Sub shop at 10405 Route 522 South, Lewistown.
