YEAGERTOWN -- A 49-year-old man was jailed on drug charges after police said he sold methamphetamine and marijuana to a confidential informant.

Steven Lee North, of Yeagertown, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Kent Smith Thursday on two counts of felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, two counts of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and two counts of misdemeanor use/possession of a controlled substance.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, officers began conducting an undercover investigation on Sept. 14. The report says the confidential informant set up a deal via text message to purchase methamphetamine and marijuana from North.

The report states that the informant met North at his residence, 110 South Main St., Yeagertown, and received a plastic baggie with suspected methamphetamine and loose marijuana.
