EAST SALEM -- A Thompsontown man was jailed after police said he attempted to sell stolen firearms and various other items.
Eric Scott Reichenbach, 42, was arraigned Friday before Magisterial District Judge Tracy Powell on 10 counts of receiving stolen property.
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Pennsylvania State Police were called to a residence on the 100 block of East Salem Road, Delaware Township, on July 30, 2023, where multiple firearms had been stolen.
According to the report, on Aug. 15, 2023, Alex Randall Richardson had been found in possession of multiple stolen items owned by the victim. In a police interview, Richardson said he got the firearms from Reichenbagh and was told that if he helped sell the items he could have a portion of the money.
Richardson was charged with crimes related to the incident in September 2023.
On Aug. 16, 2023, a search warrant obtained for Reichenbach's residence, located on the 400 block of Maben Road, Walker Township, found a 42 inch Panasonic TV, a Cyclops spotlight and a Paslode Impulse finish nailer, all of which belonged to the victim.
Reicheenbach is being charged with possessing the following stolen items: an Ithaca Model LSA65, 25-06 caliber rifle, valued at $1,100; a Remington Model 76- 330-06 caliber rifle, valued at $1,900; a Remington Model 722, .222 caliber rifle, valued at $1,800; a Remington Model 870, 12-gauge shotgun, valued at $800; a Ruger Model M77 Mark II, .204 caliber rifle, valued at $1,200; an American Arms AR15, .223/5.56 caliber rifle, valued at $1,350; a Squires, .22 caliber rifle, valued at $250; a 42-in Panasonic television, valued at $400; a Cyclops spotlight, valued at $100 and a Paslode Impulse finish nailer, valued at $200.
Reichenbach was held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility, unable to post $25,000 bail. He is awaiting a preliminary hearing set for 9 a.m. Jan. 25.
