YEAGERTOWN -- A 21-year-old man is facing drug charges after police said he sold drugs to a confidential informant.
Kyle Andrew Kohler, of Yeagertown, was arraigned Thursday before Magisterial District Judge Kent Smith on four counts of manufacturing with intent to deliver a controlled substance and two counts of criminal use of a communication facility.
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, in September 2023, police began investigating drug trafficking from 110 South Main Street, Yeagertown. Police said three controlled drug purchases were made from Kohler at the Yeagertown address.
During the first transaction on Dec. 8, 2023, a confidential informant purchased $125 in methamphetamine and fentanyl from Kohler. Police said the transaction was arranged over Facebook messenger through Kohler's account, "Runitup Kohler."
A confidential informant attempted to purchase two grams of methamphetamine from Kohler on Jan. 4. Police said Kohler advised the informant that he left the methamphetamine on a dryer, just inside the back door of a residence because his family was home. Police said the informant received $10 back because Kohler only had 1.8 grams of methamphetamine.
On Jan. 9, a third controlled purchase was arranged for the informant to purchase $110 in methamphetamine from Kohler.
Each exchange tested positive for methamphetamine or fentanyl.
Kohler is awaiting a preliminary hearing set for 9 a.m. Jan. 24 in Smith's office.
