One suffers gunshot wounds after dispute
LEWISTOWN – According to a press release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Sunday, officers responded to 500 W. Fourth St., Lewistown, for an alleged report of a subject shot during a domestic dispute at 2:36 p.m. Sunday. The subject, who sustained at least gunshot wounds was transported by EMS, police said. The wounds do not appear to be life threatening at this time, the report.
A preliminary investigation indicated that this person was shot after engaging another subject inside the house while armed with a knife, police said. Subjects involved in the discharge of the firearm were cooperative and interviewed by detectives at the Lewistown Police Department. This was an isolated incident and the public was not at risk.
