EAST WATERFORD -- A 64-year-old man was jailed after investigators said they found child pornography on his laptop.
David Eugene Boone, of East Waterford, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Tracy Powell on 10 counts of child pornography and one count of illegal use of a communication device.
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, between Oct. 29 and Nov. 24, 2022, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received three complaints which involved Boone.
An intelligence analyst with the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General was able to link Boone's IP address to his address, then obtained a search warrant for his home at 52 Middle Street.
On Jan. 3, investigators received a search warrant from the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General and troopers from the Pennsylvania State Police executed the warrant at Boone's address.
In a preview of Boone's laptop, at least 10 files of child pornography were located, of which, nine depicted children engaged in indecent contact or prepubescent minors.
Boone is being held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility, unable to post $150,000 bail. He is awaiting a preliminary hearing set for 9:45 a.m. Jan. 25.
