PETERSBURG - There might not be snow on the ground, but with the temperatures dropping it certainly feels like winter.
Make that "Winter at Whipples," as in Whipple Dam State Park, 3746 Laurel Run Rd., Petersburg.
The event is scheduled for 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Pavilion 3 at the state park.
The activities include a nature walk at 1:15 p.m., followed by making eco-friendly, edible ornaments for wildlife at 2 p.m. and finally stories by the fire at 2:30 p.m.
The event is being held by the Jana Marie Foundation in partnership with Whipple Dam State Park. All activities are free. No registration is required, and all ages are welcome.
