Woman cited for violating PFA offense

REEDSVILLE -- On Thursday, Nov. 16 around 2:30 a.m. Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to Echo Drive, Armagh Township for reports that a protection from abuse order had been.

The report states that a 22-year-old Lewistown woman was charged through Magisterial District Judge Kent Smith's office.

Charges pending in DUI offense

LEWISTOWN -- On Saturday, Nov. 18 around 2 a.m. Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown received a report of a one-vehicle crash on US Highway 522 south, Wayne Township.

According to the report, a 27-year-old Mount Union woman was found to be driving under the influence when she crashed her 2013 Volkswagen Jetta. Charges are pending.

Police investigate criminal mischief

THOMPSONTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a criminal mischief report on Wednesday, Nov. 29 around 4:45 p.m. on Quail Lane, Walker Township

When officers arrived on scene it was determined that a theft had occurred.

Police are investigating the incident. No other information was provided.

Two cited for criminal mischief

MCCLURE -- On Saturday, Oct. 28 around 6:30 p.m. an officer from Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to Dormantown Road to investigate a domestic dispute.

During the incident, a rock was thrown through a vehicle window that was occupied and then a window was intentionally damaged on another vehicle, the report states.

A 20-year-old male of McClure was arrested for propulsion of missiles and a 19-year-old woman was arrested for criminal mischief through Magisterial District Judge Jonathan Reed's office.

Regional police issue monthly stats

LEWISTOWN -- Mifflin County Regional Police Department released a news statement notifying the public that they completed 345 incident reports for the Month of November 2023 and of those reports, 16 were investigated for incidents involving theft and or fraud. Five of those were investigated assaults and 34 motor vehicle accidents.

Regional officers issued 32 traffic citations and 18 non traffic citations in addition to making four arrests for driving under the influence.
