Police investigate CashApp scam
COCOLAMUS -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown investigated a theft-type incident on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. at a residence on Billow Lane, Monroe Township.
According to the report, a Facebook account was used to scam people by telling them they would send them money after they paid a transaction fee. The report states that $120 was stolen via CashApp.
The investigation is still ongoing.

PORT ROYAL -- On Tuesday, Nov. 14 officers from the Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown investigated a theft type incident at a residence on Mauger Path Road, Spruce Hill Township.
The report states that a Facebook account scammed victims out of $500.
Police seek owner of firearm
EAST WATERFORD -- On Saturday, Dec. 9 at about 5:40 p.m. Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a gravel parking lot along Walls Road where a firearm had been reported to be found.

Minor injuries sustained in Fayette Township crash
McALISTERVILLE -- On Saturday, Dec. 9 at about 10 p.m. Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to the report of a crash on Cheswyck Drive, Fayette Township.
The report states that a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse was heading westbound on Cheswyck Drive when the vehicle left the roadway and went down an embankment and struck a concrete drain.
The vehicle was towed from the scene by Geedys Towing. The driver of the vehicle, Carol Morrison, 74, of McAlisterville sustained minor injuries, but refused transport to the hospital.
Man charged in hit and run
MCALISTERVILLE -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a two-vehicle crash that took place on Saturday, Dec. 9 at about 5 p.m. on Main Street.
According to the report, a 2007 Chrysler Aspen was heading south on Main Street and a 2000 Chevrolet was heading north when the Chevrolet crossed the double line and struck the Chrysler causing minor damage before fleeing the scene without stopping.
The driver of the Chevrolet was identified by a witness and Kevin Martin, 64, of Richfield was found at his residence and charges were filed.
