LEWISTOWN -- Santa Claus and local police led a convoy of vehicles from Burnham to the Lewistown Rec Center during the third annual Delamarter Toys for Tots drive on Wednesday.
This year marks the third annual campaign, which was started by Jason Renno, general manager of Blaise Alexander, where the convoy began, in memory of his friends, Eric and Toby Delamarter, who passed suddenly within 10 days of each other.
"Toby and Eric always wanted to put a smile on everybody's face, and that's what inspired him to start," a news release states,
"The Toys for Tots drive in their name, and the response has been amazing. The first year, they filled up six new Subarus, and the last two years, they've filled eight."
Renno wished to thank the community for their donations and says he plans to continue the event for years to come.
