Three vehicles damaged in crash
MCVEYTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a three-vehicle crash that occurred at about 5 p.m. Friday on US Highway 522 south, Oliver Township.
The report states that a 2007 GMC Sierra driven by 79-year-old Robert Cave, of Halifax, was traveling west on Us Highway 522. Cave attempted to make a left hand turn to enter the parking lot of the Kountry Kitchen. Police said Cave failed to see the 2010 Ford Fusion traveling eastbound. The Ford impacted the GMC pushing it into an unoccupied 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee which was legally parked in the parking lot.
All occupants of the GMC and Ford were wearing seat belts.
The driver and passenger of the GMC sustained no injuries, however the driver of the Ford, Savannah Colyer, 19 of James Creek, was reported minor injuries and due to being pregnant, was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital to be evaluated.
According to the report the GMC and Ford Fusion were towed from the scene by Parson's Towing.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
Police seek information on counterfeit bills
MOUNT UNION -- Pennsylvania State Police at Huntingdon responded to a residence on Millers Street at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, where a counterfeit $100 bill was reportedly used to pay for services.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police Huntingdon.
Police arrest man for stealing $5K in tools
EAST WATERFORD -- At about noon Sunday, Oct 15, officers from the Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a residence on Fleagle Drive to investigate a theft incident.
According to the report, Jamie Reeder, 44 of East Waterford, was charged with stealing $5,645.81 worth of tools and causing $189.50 worth of damage from the residence.
Charges were filed through Magisterial District Judge Jacqueline Leister.
Investigation against landlord ongoing
LEWISTOWN -- Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown investigated a theft that took place between 6 and 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24 at a residence on Sassafras Way, Decatur Township.
According to the report, the landlord of the residence, a 70-year-old Mifflintown man, took three broken air conditioners valued at $60 from the property that was being rented from the victims.
Police said the landlord had the intention of scraping the air conditioners.
The investigation is still ongoing.
