Sparks in the Barnyard Civil War event
Learn about life during the American Civil War by meeting re-enactors who portray military, field hospital and civilians at the Barnyard Corn Maze, 10588 Ferguson Valley Rd., Lewistown, from Friday through Sunday. The public is invited to participate in the event by mustering in, training to be a soldier and "fighting" on the battlefield. A Civil War ball will be held in the barn on Saturday night, which is also open to the public. For more information, call (717) 543-0921.

2. Annual Fall Festival at Reeds Gap State Park
Hayrides, fresh cider, handmade ice cream, hands-on activities, woodturning demonstration, bluegrass music and an appearance by Smokey the Bear are some of the highlights of the Annual Fall Festival at Reeds Gap State Park, located at 1405 New Lancaster Valley Rd., Milroy. 3. The Starlets Take the Stage
The Starlets celebrate the iconic girl groups of the 1950s and '60s in a one-of-a-kind concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Mifflin County High School, 501 Sixth St., Lewistown. 4. Sacred Heart School Benefit Auction
The Mifflin County Youth Park, 110 E. Logan St., Reedsville, will be buzzing with bids when the Sacred Heart School Benefit Auction takes center stage on Saturday and Sunday. 5. Trolley and Express Train Rides
All aboard for the Pumpkin Patch Trolley rides at Rockhill Trolley Museum, Rockhill, and the Peanuts' Great Pumpkin Patch Express rides at East Broad Top Railroad, Rockhill Furnace, this weekend.
At the Rockhill Trolley Museum, located at 430 Meadow St., hop aboard an antique trolley past the changing leaves to Blacklog Narrows from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
